Autoweek in review: The Woodward Dream Cruise and Pebble Beach Concours, Ferrari F12 and a lost Cunningham Corvette

For 2012, Autoweek dove headfirst into covering one of the best rolling car shows in the world, the Woodward Dream Cruise. With a whole section devoted to its build-up and celebration, we've got photos, videos and stories galore. At the same time, the West Coast got the annual treatment in Monterey for Pebble Beach Concours and all the car-crazy events that go with it.

McLaren 12C Spider: The video

Last week we had the reveal of the convertible version of the MP4-12C – the McLaren 12C Spider – and now we get the first video of McLaren’s convertible supercar. We did think McLaren would have released a video of the new 12C Spider when it was revealed last week, but they’ve obviously got the hang of their new video software now so we finally get to see the 12C Spider in action. McLaren has used cinema-quality RED camera technology to capture the 12C Spider in terrific detail as it first performs on track and then traverses the stunning roads in the mountains of Andalucia.

The Infiniti Q50 has been designed to take on the BMW 3 Series – but Infiniti is trying to attract a more youthful set of customers and efficient diesel and hybrid saloons aren’t exactly going to gain any favour with the young crowd. Enter the 2014 Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept debuting at this year’s North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. This thing has been designed to take on the mighty BMW M3 and could well have the weaponry to succeed.
