Although details are limited at this stage, 'Windows in the Car' is set to challenge the already confirmed Apple CarPlay and Google’s Open Automotive Alliance, which is also aiming to bring the Android OS into vehicles. Organised by the Royal Automobile Club, the annual 60-mile event started at Hyde Park at 6.58am, with a ceremonial finish along Brighton's Madeira Drive starting just three hours later.
