A look at Dodge's future product
Tue, 27 Jul 2010With Ram pickups no longer part of its lineup, Dodge is repositioning itself as a sporty brand for all ages. As the brands diverge, Ram keeps the distinctive ram's head logo, while Dodge will have a new script logo that will be revealed this year on the restyled Charger sedan and the Durango replacement. Sources say Dodge may eventually lose its cross-hair grille, which will stay with Ram.
2010 Mazda 3: &15,715 base price tag
Tue, 17 Feb 2009When the second-generation Mazda 3 hits dealerships in the spring, it will wear a base price of $15,715 (including $670 destination), which represents a $355 increase over its predecessor. Entry-level "i" models remain powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 148 hp and 135 lb-ft of torque. For the premium "s" trims, a new 2.5-liter four borrowed from the Mazda 6 produces 167 hp and 168 lb-ft of torque.
Lamborghini LP700-4 (2011): the rolling chassis
Wed, 23 Feb 2011Lamborghini continues the long drip-feed on the new V12 supercar replacement for the Murcielago with this first picture of the carbonfibre rolling chassis. In this week's edition of motor show teaser photography, Lamborghini has started with a naked LP700-4 chassis, prior to next week's reveal of the fully clothed new V12 supercar. You can clearly see the new pushrod suspension, the carbonfibre chassis, subframes snd the suitably enormous wheel and tyre package. None at this point. CAR's Gavin Green has driven one of the prototypes (see the January 2011 edition) but it will be at next week's 2011 Geneva motor show where the world gets its first clear look at the new Lamborghini.
