Problems with your McLaren MP4-12C? Have a ‘McLaren: The Wins’ coffee table book
Thu, 20 Oct 2011Ron Dennis apologises to McLaren MP4-12C owners A couple of weeks ago we reported that McLaren was having some teething problems with their new MP4-12C but weren’t, despite reports to the contrary, halting production. The problems seemed to be mainly software related, with issues including warning lights flashing on and battery drainage issues, which seemed to be because the MP4-12C’s electronics didn’t turn off when the car was halted. But it seemed McLaren were working on the issues with the same sort of zeal we’ve come to recognise from their F1 programme, no doubt spurred on by the wrath of Ron Dennis.
Audi teases new car for Frankfurt. 2014 Audi A8 or new Quattro?
Mon, 29 Jul 2013Audi are teasing a new car for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show It does feel like September is still a long way off, but the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show is only six weeks away, and Audi are already teasing a new model for the show in a new teaser video. They’re not exactly giving much away – the video reveals just the front nearside corner of the new car – but what is it? The two most likely candidates are the 2014 A8 and the production Quattro, although there is a chance we could see a new, range-topping, Audi A9 coupe.
2011 Hyundai i10 Facelift
Thu, 03 Feb 20112011 Hyundai i10 Facelift As Hyundai continues to move upmarket - certainly in terms of perception – its design becomes more European mainstream. Its ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ (Pretentious? Moi?) design – seen in more recent cars like the ix35 – is now translated to suit the Hyundai i10, and creating a facelift for the 2011 Hyundai i10 in the process, with new bumpers and lights effecting the majority of the change.
