He was the driving force behind the Blackpool performance car brand, which bore his name and went on to become famous for producing cars with outrageous looks and power. MG exploring sports car concepts, eyeing US return

The company is in the early stages of exploratory work on a sports car following the opening of a new design studio in Shanghai, a sports car that is expected to mirror the classic MGB mold, if it is determined that today's MG could in fact field a worthy competitor to the Miata.
