Robert Maddox is known world wide for his powerful valved pulsejet engines and wild jet powered machines.This engine is Injected on gasoline and weighs 11 pounds and bushes me (165 pounds) 50 mph and uses about .3 gallons a minute of fuel and has full range of throttle. Engine is made of 18 gauge 304 stainless steel, and is tig welded. You start the engine with a leaf blower…this engine is not sold with the starting kit ( pump, spark box and speed control) but the starting kit can be purchased from me at maddoxjets, be sure to find me on the web and youtube. Mon, 19 Jan 2009With more than 600 cars on display and a record number of exhibitors, nothing at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon tuner show hinted at the global economic downturn. As always, there was a great mix of styles, from hard-core, 1,000-hp, supertuned machinery to weird customized scooter tricycles. Auto manufacturers tried hard to capture the minds--if not the wallets--of the younger-than-30 crowd with customized versions of production cars, while tuners were busy persuading power junkies to choose them for their next engine modification.
Study links low-speed collision-avoidance system to fewer accidents
Tue, 19 Jul 2011A study of the Volvo XC60's low accident rate offers evidence that collision avoidance systems can improve vehicle safety. The XC60, which has a low-speed collision avoidance system dubbed City Safety, was involved in 27 percent fewer property damage accidents than other mid-sized luxury SUVs, according to a report released Tuesday by the Highway Loss Data Institute. The XC60 also was involved in 51 percent fewer bodily injury accidents.
