For the masochistic car enthusiast--and many of us here at AutoWeek count ourselves among that breed--nothing is sure to tantalize and frustrate quite as nicely as a Lotus. Not just any Lotus, mind you, but a peaky, force-fed, emissions-saddled 1986 Turbo Esprit. The example shown here, http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/ctd/2318628863.html, appears to be a fine specimen of Giguaro's wedgy Brit, and the rear-quarter decals indicate that this is a late HCi model--high-compression plus Bosch fuel injection.

It seems the wave of crossovers flooding the European car market is showing no signs of subsiding here at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show – this, the Lexus LF-NX crossover concept, is the latest small SUV to join the club. You’d have thought Toyota’s luxury arm would have created an upmarket off-roader to rival the Range Rover Evoque sooner than it has – well finally, Frankfurt 2013 marks the end of that wait.

The jubilant Nissan GT-R team celebrates their new lap record at the Nurburgring
[ad#ad-1]
The Nissan GT-R is indeed an impressive car. It offers real supercar performance for what appears to be a relatively modest price. Admittedly it still costs an arm and a leg to service, and with exchange rates as they are at the moment it will become less of a bargain, but it’s certainly chucked a very big spanner in to the works as far as the more established Supercar makers are concerned (Porsche in particular had plenty to say about the last time the GT-R set).
