High-performance electric cars set for public debut at Goodwood

The EEMS Accelerate project based in Britain aims to show that driving an electric car doesn't have to be a bland experience. It's taking the effort public starting at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Four British-made, high-performance electric cars will be displayed at the FoS-TECH Exhibition at Goodwood this weekend.

Mercedes CLA (2013) first official pictures

Mercedes-Benz has revealed its new CLA, a four-door coupe based on the A-class, at an event held in Detroit on the night before this year's motor show opens. But to keep your attention on the big-selling E-class which also makes its debut here, the CLA won't be on Mercedes' show stand, and will make its official public debut at Berlin Fashion Week later this month. EBay exotic: 1974 Alfa Romeo Berlina 2000

I'm a sucker for a four-door Alfa, and this bright red Berlina 2000 posted by our friends at Bring a Trailer has yours truly all aflutter this morning. Formerly owned by an Alfa Romeo employee in the United States, this car shows just a tick less than 89,000 original miles and wears fresh paint as of a few years ago. The seller, himself an Alfisti, claims that the gauges and mechanicals are all in correct working order, and the original factory air conditioning apparently operates as well as it did when new--which likely isn't very well, but still, it makes an interesting conversation piece.
