Quick Release Equipment / Fire Extinguisher Mounting Kit Powder Coated Black

These may be mounted several different ways. Either hose clamps, bolts, or even welding. These American made brackets are powder coated (we offer black, green, and red at this time. See our other listings), and the safety pin is connected to a metal strap. So you won't loose the pin or the ring! These are light weight (approximately 20 ounces) and durable. They measure 8" long at the longest point. TIG welding was used, and once again, it was done here in America. Perfect for off road vehicles, hot rods, go carts, or whatever else you want to use it for.

There are slots cut on both pieces that a standard automotive hose clamp will fit through, and the base has mounting holes if you preferred that method of attachment. They are not designed for a fire extinguisher only, and can be used with numerous different pieces of equipment. The area that the tool lays against is set in a soft "V" shape to give it stability. The width across it is 1 7/8" witht eh length being 5 1/2".

Feel free to ask any questions, and I don't know the answer, I can always call the manufacturer for you.

Thank you.

Biker attempts to beat London marathon record... in traffic

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

AS BRITISH favourite Mo Farah prepares to challenge the British record at the London Marathon this weekend, an enterprising biker has decided to try it himself – in the thick of London traffic. On closed roads a man vs machine race would be a bit one-sided, but with the average speed of a fast marathon runner being 12.43mph and the average speed of a motorbike in London traffic being 12.5mph, the result turned out not to be so clear-cut – the biker missing out on the record by a full five minutes. Using the same BMW F800GS Adventure as is loaned to the marathon organisers, Michael Mann of online community Bike Social followed the route as closely as possible, albeit with a few extra loops where the runners will take advantage of closed one-way streets.

Official: Aston Martin gets its hands on Mercedes AMG engines & Electronic Architecture

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

Aston Martin & AMG confirm they’re getting in bed together Back in December we reported that Aston Martin had new investment from Investindustrial and wondered if that would mean – thanks to an existing relationship between Investindustrial and AMG – if we’d see Aston Martin finally getting access to AMG’s engines and platforms. By May, things had moved on and it was clear that Aston Martin and AMG were in talks for Aston Martin to get access to their engines for the next generation of AML’s cars. Now those talks have borne fruit and AMG and AML have signed a letter of intent for Aston Martin to “access significant Mercedes-AMG GmbH and Mercedes-Benz Cars’ resources, allowing the development of bespoke V8 powertrains and the use of certain components of electric/electronic (e/e) architecture.” Interestingly, there’s no talk of V12 engines – which could mean Aston Martin are going to move from the current Ford V12 for the DB9 and Vanquish to a powerful V8 from AMG – and nor is there talk of sharing platforms.

New SEAT Leon Ecomotive: From £19,360 & 87g/km

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

The new SEAT Leon Ecomotive (pictured) is the most frugal Leon ever The new SEAT Leon Ecomotive – which debuted at Frankfurt last month – has now gone on sale in the UK and boasts of being the most efficient Leon ever. Available in 3-door SC, five-door and Touring versions, the Leon Ecomotive manages to improve economy and emissions over the already frugal regular 1.6 litre TDI by cutting emissions to 87g/km, equal to 85.6mpg. Part of the improved economy and emissions is down to weight saving – SEAT are claiming the new Leon  Ecomotive weighs 90kg less – low resistance tyres and improvements in aerodynamics of ten per cent.
