Wed, 09 Sep 2009The first official images of the Mercedes SLS AMG Gullwing have leaked out ahead of Frankfurt We’ve been teased and tormented by the long, drawn-out tease for the Mercedes SLS AMG - the in-house replacement for the mighty Mercedes McLaren SLR. We’ve had what I thing is a first – an SLS Official Spy Video – and endless bits and pieces on the Gullwing. But now – ahead of the official launch of the SLS next week at Frankfurt – the damn has burts and the first official images have leaked out Mercedes.

Thanks to a ruthless diet and an uprated 2.0-litre TFSI turbo petrol engine, the all-wheel drive TT Ultra will launch to 62mph in 4.2sec, (1.3sec faster than a regular Audi TTS) and hit 173mph flat out. We checked out the trailer on Friday for the "Mad Max" video game, which has been delayed until 2015, and found that it hits all the right buttons.
