BMW releases X1 (2009): teaser pictures and video
Fri, 05 Jun 2009By Peter Adams First Official Pictures 05 June 2009 16:00 UPDATED: BMW has just released video of a partially disguised X1 testing in Majorca BMW has released four teaser shots of its forthcoming X1 on a Facebook page dedicated to the mini-SUV. The X1 won't be officially unveiled until the Frankfurt motor show in September 2009, but BMW has been cranking up the publicity machine for its new 4x4 since a concept X1 was shown at Paris last year. CAR's Georg Kacher drove a prototype X1 earlier this year (CAR, May 2009) and in the past few days BMW has also released official shots of the car clad in the company's infamous psychedelic disguise.
Smoking in cars to be banned
Tue, 11 Feb 2014MPs in the House of Commons have voted in favour of amendment to the Children and Families Bill, thereby recommending a ban on smoking in cars when there are children present in England. The vote does not force the government to bring such a change into law, but has passed with a substantial majority and the recommendation is seen to have substantial public support. New Volvo V60, S60 & XC60 R-Design with Polestar Performance options
Wed, 27 Mar 2013Volvo has revealed new R-Design versions of the V60, S60 and XC60 with R-Design body, lowered suspension and the option of Polestar Performance. All three R-Design models get a new nose with a frameless Tech Matte Black grill, a silk metal R-Design logo, DRL lights on the corners, redesigned front wheel arches, rear diffuser and R-design tailpipes. Inside, the R-Design Volvos get sports seats covered in Nubuck textile and perforated leather, Adaptive Digital Display that offers three different configurations - Elegance, Eco and Performance – contrast stitching, stainless steel tread plates and R-Design logos.
