Hyundai beats 2011 sales figures – with almost 2 months of 2012 left

Mon, 12 Nov 2012

Hyundai UK has revealed that it has sold 64,000 cars so far in 2012, beating the 2011 sales total of 63,577 with almost two months to go. Hyundai UK is celebrating after surpassing their total UK sales of 63,577 cars in 2011 with the best part of two months of 2012 still left to rack up more sales – 64,000 cars sold in 2012 and counting. The strong Hyundai sales are no doubt thanks to a strong showing from the i40 and i40 Tourer and the new i30, both of which are now rolling out of UK showrooms in decent numbers.

We got European prices a few weeks back, which frankly were a bit stronger than we’d expected for what Lexus had said would be a 1-Series competitor.

BMW has done all it can to promote its sponsorship of the 2012 London Olympics, and with a spend said to be in the region of £40 million, who can blame them? But it’s not just local shopkeepers and enthusiastic small businesses that are hamstrung by Olympic rules on advertising, the Olympic sponsors are too.
