Up for auction is a Thunder Crank build by R&B Cycles of Nashville, TN. This crank shaft has a 5 1/4 stroke with 1.5" crankpin that uses a hex design to prevent shifting in the flywheels. This is a USED item out of a Nitro Pro Drag Harley. As far as I can tell the crank is straight and true. This is one of the strongest cranks on the market, and would make a very stout crank for a street bike. For more information check out the Thundercrank website: http://rnbcycles.com/thundercrank.php

ALSO included is a set Billet Steel Rods These are not your typical billet rods and I cannot track down the manufacturer of these rods. They may be a one off set. Not included are the rod bearings. There is some slight surface rust on the rods but will clean up nicely.

Item is sold AS IS USED CONDITION. Please view all pictures before bidding. Shipping to US and Canada ONLY.

Need to report a POTHOLE? Government-backed App makes it easy

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

Need to report a POTHOLE? Government-backed App makes it easy There can’t be many motorists in the UK who haven’t fallen foul of our pitted and potholed roads (one of the Cars UK team had a £1500 suspension re-build bill last year), so anything we can do to point out what needs doing is a bonus. So the news that the government is backing an App to report potholes in the UK to the tune of £30,000 is good news (assuming the reported potholes get acted on).

'Drivers determine cycling safety'

Wed, 27 Nov 2013

HIGH-VIS clothing on cyclists does not deter drivers from performing the "most dangerous" overtakes, scientists say. Between 1% and 2% of drivers pass "dangerously close" to cyclists when overtaking, regardless of what they are wearing, a study found. The average gap left by a driver overtaking a cyclist has shrunk over the past few decades from 179cm in 1979 to 118cm in 2013.

2008 EyesOn Design Awards

Wed, 23 Jan 2008

I was once told that the EyesOn Design Awards was initially conceived as an award by which a vehicle would be judged by visually-impaired individuals. The prerequisite for winning was that the beauty of a vehicle would have to be determined solely through the medium of touch. Though it may seem odd that the award is presented by the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology (DIO) - an internationally-recognized non-profit organization known for helping the blind and visually-impaired - it has since grown to become one of the most prestigious automotive design award ceremonies to date.
