With the shortage of R134a a lot of the 30# cyclinders may come thru with a 1/4" male flare fitting instead of the 1/2" male ACME fitting the auto technicians are used to. The R134a hoses will not fit the 1/4" male flare tanks. The same is true with the tanks that may come thru with the 1/2" ACME male fitting. These tanks will not fit the 1/4" Yellow hose that the HVAC technicians are use to. This adapter kit will cover everything you could need. The R12 to R134a adapter is 1/4" female flare x 1/2" male ACME. The R134a to R12 fitting is 1/2" female ACME x 1/4" male flare. Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera teases Geneva concept car
Wed, 15 Feb 2012Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera has released a teaser image of its 2012 Disco Volante Concept, which will debut at next month's Geneva motor show. In 1952, the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring teamed up with Alfa Romeo to create a series of special-bodied cars to trial new technologies as well as being easily adaptable for racing. Perhaps the most famous (and beautiful) was the 1952 Alfa Romeo Disco Volante (C52) which was based on the Alfa 1900, with both coupe and Spider convertible bodies produced.
Hyundai confirms luxury Genesis Brand to take on Lexus & Infiniti
Tue, 25 Oct 2011Hyundai are planning to launch the Genesis Brand (Hyundai Veloster pictured) The rise and rise of Hyundai (and Kia too) has lead to speculation for some time that the next stage in their evolution is a proper luxury brand to take on Infiniti and Lexus, and it’s now confirmed that Hyundai will be launching the ‘Genesis’ brand within two years. Not to be confused with the ‘Not for the UK’ Hyundai Genesis, the Genesis brand will be a range of cars from Hyundai offering real competition for the luxury brands from Nissan and Toyota, but with a dose of Hyundai pricing and warranty thrown in to the mix. Hyundai’s product manager in Australia – Roland Rivero - has come out and confirmed that the Genesis brand is in the making and will initially – at least in Australia – offer two RWD cars.
