Toyota shelves A-BAT pickup concept
Mon, 20 Apr 2009Toyota won't build the small, ultramodern A-BAT hybrid pickup concept that was a head-turner at the 2008 Detroit auto show and looked like a good bet for production. "We have a lot of top priorities, and A-BAT is not one of them right now," Bob Carter, Toyota Division's general manager, told the Web site PickupTrucks.com. "It's on the shelf." A Toyota official confirmed Carter's comments.
Cadillac CTS-V Estate / Wagon official
Mon, 29 Mar 2010The Cadillac CTS-V Wagon / Estate will debut at the New York Motor Show After Bob Lutz’ comments that the Cadillac CTS-V will come in any flavour you want, we’ve known that not only will there be a CTS-V Coupe – which was officially revealed in January at Detroit – but that there would be a Cadillac CTS-V Wagon as well. The arrival of the CTS-V Estate became certain when we got hold of spy photos of the CTS-V Estate and now Cadillac has issued official pictures of the load-lugging, barn-storming Wagon ahead of its official reveal at the New York Motor Show this week. Cadillac aren’t calling the New York Show Car a Concept, but nor do they consider it a production version.
Warning over minicab 'free-for-all'
Mon, 23 Jun 2014RAPE AND sex assaults could rise due to plans to allow minicab owners to lend their vehicles out to anyone when not at work, police bosses have warned. Currently, only licensed private hire drivers can drive a marked private hire vehicle, drivers have to be regularly re-licensed and there are restrictions on vehicles operating across local authority boundaries.
