Jaguar tells design story behind new XF Sportbrake [w/video]

Jaguar has released a walk-through of the design of its new XF Sportbrake, which debuted at last week's Geneva motor show. The video features Jaguar design boss Ian Callum and Studio Director Wayne Burgess explaining how the design team managed to keep the company's first official estate car in line with the sportiness and luxury nature of Jaguar brand. Callum says, "I know it's a very practical car, there's an amount of pragmatism in it, it is functional, but at the end of the day it is we call a Sportbrake, it has to look to sporty.

Tesla Roadster Sport – fresh photos

Tesla has released new images of the Tesla Roadster Sport as the order book opens But despite the hype on the Tesla Model S earlier in the year, the next model to arrive will be the Tesla Roadster Sport – a beefed up version of the current Roadster. And Tesla are ramping up the awareness by releasing the new pictures you see here. Ford offers $1m of design scholarships in memory of William Clay Ford

Ford Motor Company has put aside $1million to be awarded in automotive design scholarships over the next 20 years in order to commemorate the life of William Clay Ford who passed away on Sunday. The Ford Fund will release $10,000 each to five college sophomores or juniors per year who are following a career in car design. William Clay Ford was the last surviving grandchild of company founder Henry Ford and design was his lifelong passion.
