The greatest hot hatch - Lancia Delta Integrale
Fri, 27 Feb 2009By Glen Waddington First Official Pictures 27 February 2009 12:00 As you may recall, there was a bit of a four-wheel drive thing going on in the 1980s. It was single-handedly started by Audi and copied by Porsche (959), Ford (Sierra XR4x4), VW (Rally Golf), even Citroën (BX GTi 4x4), all in the name of high-speed handling. Without them, and the rallying success story they ultimately spawned, there’d be no Subaru Impreza Turbo or Mitsubishi Lancer Evo today.
Audi TT speedster 'will be built'
Tue, 20 May 2008By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 20 May 2008 12:15 Audi will build a limited production run of the TT speedster we scooped last week, CAR Online can reveal. Although spokesmen in Europe have denied any production plans for the unusual open-top TT we spied on test in southern Germany, Audi's marketing director for the Middle East, Bernd Rosenbichler, told us they were planning a small production run for enthusiasts in hotter climes.'We have been asked [by Audi AG] if we could imagine bringing this car here,' he told CAR.

The General Motors subsidiary was cagey when it came to details, claiming that the brand would remain a presence in Australia -- even maintaining its design office there. Oddly, we couldn't get anyone to say, in black-and-white terms, what vehicles would be sold there under the Holden name after its plants close.
