Jaguar XFR – the Cat’s out of the bag
Sat, 10 Jan 2009The XFR is Jaguar’s answer to the barn-storming saloons from Mercedes, BMW and Audi, and if looks and spec (and the experience of driving the non-blown XF) are anything to go by, the new big Cat should get the cream. The XFR gets the new version of Jaguar’s AJV8 engine, which is a 5.0 litre supercharged lump, producing a whopping 510bhp, with the usual limited top speed of 155mph, and a 0-60 of around 4.5 seconds. The New Jaguar XFR surfaces ahead of Detroit Visually, the XFR gets the ‘Aggressive’ look, with big, chrome-trimmed air inlets at the sides (a Jaguar theme?

Sun, 29 Aug 2010The Lamborghini Jota snapped on the Autobahn The last news we had on the Lamborghini Jota - Lambo’s replacement for the now quite ancient Murcielago – was a pointless tease for the Jota sent to us in July by Lamborghini with a photo of a Lamborghini bonnet in half shadow replete with Lamborghini badge. Oh, and the highly original strapline: Coming Soon… Which we knew. We’ve been reporting on the Jota for quite some time (and on the halo Lamborghini we expect it to spawn – the Lamborghini Urus) so there are likely no huge surprises – except just how it’s going to look.

Sun, 02 Aug 2009The IFR Aspid drew a lot of attention at this year's Salon Prive Not the best known name in the motoring world, IFR – and it’s main man, Ignacio Fernández – are never the less a force to be reckoned with, and we’re pretty sure we’ll be hearing a whole lot more from them before too long. So what’s the IFR Aspid, I hear you asking. Think something akin to a Caterham 7, but sporting technology from Buck Rogers and with none of your garden-shed makers bare-bones creature comforts.
