Frankfurt 2011:Rimac Concept One – an Electric Supercar
Sun, 18 Sep 2011Rimac One Concept - an electric hypercar at Frankfurt Our antipathy towards electric cars – and the seeming futility of pursuing a technology that has made little progress in a century – is well known. But we do see electric cars as a fun toy for the better-off, and 23 year-old Croatian Mate Rimac has impressed Frankfurt with his Rimac Concept One electric supercar, which is perhaps the ultimate electric toy for the better-off. New cars 'cheaper to insure' for young drivers
Thu, 14 Aug 2014NEW CARS are actually cheaper for young drivers to insure than old bangers, insurance broker Be Wiser has claimed. Figures from the company reveal that the cheapest car for youngsters to insure at the moment is a Volkswagen Up, which costs around £3,000 per year based on a 17-year-old driver in a large city. The same customer looking to insure a 20-year-old Ford Fiesta would be facing a bill of almost £4,000, with insurance premiums even higher in some parts of the country.

Yes, they told us they were sorting that out and that ‘Cadillac back in Europe’ was a certainty. But really, it isn’t.
