You are bidding on a used 1963-1964 Smith's Radiomobile Model 60T radio. I tested it and it does work. It is currently set to positive ground (earth) and I don't know if it can be changed to negative earth. It came out of an early MGB. The power wire is missing but there is a solderable connection on the back of the radio for the power to be applied. The speaker wires are attached in the same manner and should be resoldered.

Toyota: Fixes are working on recalled vehicles

Tue, 09 Mar 2010

Toyota maintains that the fixes being made to correct unintended acceleration in millions of recalled vehicles are sufficient. But at a press event Monday, company officials said they are willing to bring in as many independent researchers as needed to resolve the issue once and for all. “We don't think there is a ghost issue out there,” said Kristen Tabar, general manager of electronic systems at the Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Councils to cut roadworks red tape

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

COUNCILS in England could soon have the power to cut red tape and make road works much quicker and more accountable. The plan is to introduce permits for any company that wants to dig up a road, which means they will have to co-ordinate their work with other companies and local authorities to reduce the impact of delays on the public. The permit scheme could come into force as early as April 2015 and means anyone applying for a permit to carry out road works will need to present a convincing case for the work.

Geneva motor show: 2010 Saab 9-3x crossover debuts

Wed, 11 Feb 2009

At next month's Geneva motor show, Saab looks to provide a right-sized crossover with the introduction of the 2010 9-3X. Beginning with a 9-3 SportCombi wagon, Saab engineers raise ride height by 1.4 inches, add the XWD all-wheel-drive system that we first saw on the Turbo X and pump up the exterior styling. According to Saab, the 9-3X provides customers with the perfect alternative to large crossovers and SUVs, while offering respectable utility and off-road capabilities.
