VW announces seven-passenger CUV at Detroit auto show

Last year at the Detroit Auto Show, VW showed the CrossBlue concept. Built on VW's new MQB modular architecture, the CrossBlue was designed to both showcase the versatility of MQB (it also underpins the upcoming Golf, the new Audi A3, as well as SEAT and Skoda models) and illustrate that VW was serious about the seven-passenger market in the United States. Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger to get a new lease on life

With Fiat-based replacements still at least two years away, the Chrysler Group has delayed plans to kill its slow-selling Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger, sources say. The two sedans were all but left for dead by previous owner Cerberus Capital Management. Now insiders say Chrysler intends to freshen the cars and keep them on the market until late 2012.

First tease for the Subaru VIZIV 2 Concept The Subaru VIZIV 2 Concept teased for a Geneva Motor Show debut is yet another concept from Subaru that points to a new crossover – at some point. Subaru kicked of the VIZIV Concept (VIZIV apparently stands for ‘Vision for Innovation’) path at last year’s Geneva Motor Show with the first VIZVIZ concept which, said Subaru, represented the future design and vision for technical innovation. Subaru aren’t saying anything much about VIZIV 2 ahead of Geneva, but the original VIZIV Concept came with a four-pot 2.0 litre boxer engine helped along by a pair of electric motors powering the back wheels and another electric motor providing power for the front wheels.
