It was filmed at the Camaro Homecoming Event in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, in June. Oppenheiser gives us a look at the 6.2-liter supercharged Camaro, explaining how airflow will enter the front grille and be drawn away from the engine with the hood vents.
Volkswagen plans 4 million cars from one platform
Thu, 12 Apr 2012Volkswagen is pushing the global-platform concept to a level unprecedented in the auto industry, introducing a modular platform this summer that eventually will be the basis of microcars, sedans, crossovers and SUVs for its four largest brands. While automakers now share platforms across brands and sometimes even segments, the VW initiative that starts this summer is far more ambitious than anything seen so far. By 2017, some analysts estimate, the MQB platform that debuts with the Audi A3 eventually will be used in 4 million units a year--close to half of VW's annual production.
Porsche Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS revealed
Wed, 19 Mar 2014The new Porsche Cayman GTS (pictured) will debut at the Beijing Motor Show Porsche has decided the Boxster and Cayman need the GTS treatment, so we get treated to both a Porsche Boxster GTS and Porsche Caymen GTS. Based on the Boxster S and Catmen S, both the GTS models get a Euro 6 version of the 3.4 litre flat six with an extra 15bhp, which means 325bhp for the Bosxster and 335bhp for the Cayman. Both come with a six-speed manual as standard but you can opt for 7-Speed Dual Clutch ‘box which allows the Cayman GTS to crack 62mph in 4.6 seconds and the Boxster GTS in 4.7 seconds.
