Ferrari, Ford and McLaren scoop top engine award honours for 2013

Think 'International Engine of the Year' awards would just concentrate on frugal, downsized powertrains? Not so. Along with Ford and VW's fuel-saving efforts, Ferrari and McLaren have been recognised for building the world's best engines in the 2013 awards.

Ferrari video of the next Enzo's HY-KERS hybrid

Ferrari has issued video of its new HY-KERS hybrid system bound for the new Enzo successor due later in 2012. It mates a V12 petrol engine with a brace of electric motors - one to drive the car's ancillary systems like cooling and power assistance, and the larger one to drive the rear wheels. This teaser video doesn't give away any incredible performance figures, but it does afford a glimpse into Maranello's thinking for its new hypercar.

Peugeot 2008 crossover concept (2012) first pictures

If Peugeot's to survive its current financial woes, it needs to get younger buyers excited about the brand. Along with the 208 GTI, the brand will be showing this, the 2008 concept, at the Paris motor show. It's a small, urban-friendly crossover designed to be more practical than a standard supermini, combined with an eco-friendly 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine.
