Jeep Wrangler Unlimited joins Altitude lineup

Jeep is adding a Wrangler Unlimited model to the Altitude lineup. It will join the Patriot, Compass and Grand Cherokee Altitude models in showrooms next month. The Altitude name won a vote on Jeep's Facebook page and beat out names such as Midnight and Obsidian for the blacked-out trim package.

Michelin Challenge Design - Deadline for entries April 16

You Can Design America's Next Iconic Vehicle Michelin Challenge Design - the global transportation design competition in its ninth year - is looking for America's next iconic vehicle.  Submissions for the 2009 program will be accepted through April 16, 2008. The winning designs will be evaluated for their uniqueness, emotional appeal, design courage and technical execution by a jury of automotive design professionals and receive prominent display in the MCD exhibit at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. More executive upheaval as GM changes CFO

Chris Liddell, the onetime executive hotshot hired from Microsoft and rumored to be a candidate for CEO, is leaving General Motors on April 1. The 52-year-old will be replaced by Dan Ammann, 38, who is GM’s treasurer. Liddell oversaw GM’s historic return to the stock market last year after its 2009 bankruptcy.
