Rare 1920's Remy Buzzer Type 6-volt Indian & Harley Motorcycle Horn on 2040-parts.com

Location:

Fishers, Indiana, United States

Fishers, Indiana, United States
Condition:Remanufactured

This one of the rarest horns for antique Indian & Harley Motorcycles ever made.  Most collectors have never even seen one.  It was made by the Remy brothers before GM bought them out, merged them with Delco and then screwed them over.

It is correct for most mid to late 1920 Indian Motorcycles.  The scan from the 1927 Indian Motorcycle Accessories Catalog clearly shows this horn. It has been restored, powder coated and works great.

The 1932 Harley Accessory catalog also shows this horn as #4801-26.

This horn makes a very loud and annoying buzzer sound.  Indian brackets are available, but not included in this auction.

And this last week Stiggy has been in the news as he tries to get his memoirs published – Stig: The Autobiography – much to the consternation of the Beeb, who believe his contract gives him no chance of revealing his identity.
