You are bidding on a RARE State of Illinois Certificate of Junking. Most people haven't ever seen one of these types of certificates. These were issued by the state to junk yards or salvage yards when a vehicle was taken off the road and the Motor Vehicle Title was sent into the state. The date of issue was in 1950. The exact date is shown on the certificate.

We are selling this as automobile memorabilia. It would look very nice framed and displayed on your wall or with your restored antique or classic car , street rod , hot rod or rat rod at automobile shows and cruise ins.

Includes Make of car, Body style, Year, Factory number, Engine number and Original title number. The factory number is the same thing as todays VIN or Serial Number.

This certificate is in excellent condition and has been stored flat and dry for over 60 years. Measures 6 1/2 by 7 inches. The first photo above is of the front side of the actual item that you are buying. The second photo is just a sample photo showing the back.

This will be shipped flat between heavy cardboard to prevent damage during shipping.

Toyota to replace the gas pedals on 3.8 million recalled vehicles

Toyota Motor Corp. said Wednesday it will replace the accelerator pedals on 3.8 million vehicles involved in the company's largest recall ever. The models involved are: -- 2007 to 2010 model year Camry -- 2005 to 2010 Avalon -- 2004 to 2009 Prius -- 2005 to 2010 Tacoma -- 2007 to 2010 Tundra -- 2007 to 2010 Lexus ES 350 -- 2006 to 2010 Lexus IS 250 -- 2006 to 2010 Lexus IS 350.The company said it will reconfigure the shape of accelerator pedals to cut down on the risk that they may be jammed in the floor mat.

Alfa Romeo 4C finally on sale in 2013?

It seems the Alfa Romeo 4C may finally arrive in production guise at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, and on sale soon after. First seen at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011 – when we expected it to go on sale in 2012 – the 4C has been rolled out by Alfa Romeo a few times since – even complete with ‘teasers’ when all that had changed was the colour – to keep up interest in a car that holds much promise but didn’t seem to be heading anywhere. But now, according to Autocar, Alfa Romeo has confirmed that a production version of the Alfa 4C will arrive at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show before going on sale – at least in Europe – later in the year.
