Haverhill, Massachusetts, United States
Condition:For parts or not working

This is a very rare 1966 mustang 289 289K toploader 4-speed trans for parts.  The code on the metal tag is HEH BX 010927.  The casting number on the main case is C5AR-700-D W-1.  The casting number on the tail is C4ZH-7A040 A.  The bad news is the there was water in the case.  The cluster gear and the reverse idler gears are pitted.  The input shaft nose has been shortened for some reason.  The main shaft is 28 spline and is good.  There is some scarring where the front bearing goes from that bearing blowing up.  I installed another one in the hole and it fits tight.   These parts are heavy and will be shipped in two boxes.  Wait for me to send an invoice, shipping calculator is wrong.

New Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible revealed

Sun, 03 Mar 2013

The soft top version of the new Stingray has been revealed – the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible – ahead of a debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. But aside from issuing the two photos of the new convertible Stingray, Chevy isn’t giving anything away ahead of its debut at Geneva in a few days. But it’s not much of a stretch to expect the same 444bhp 6.2 litre under the bonnet as the regular Stingray, enough to get the Stingray to 62mph in under 4 seconds and no doubt the convertible just a shade behind.

2014 (or is it 2015?) Ford Mondeo to launch in UK & Europe late 2014

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

The new Ford Mondeo will now arrive in the UK in late 2014 The story of the new Ford Mondeo for the UK Europe (which should have been the 2013 Mondeo but will end up as the 2014 or 2015 Mondeo) has been a bit tortuous. Despite the new Mondeo being on sale in the US as the Ford Fusion since summer 2012, and in China since summer 2013 (and the reveal of the production version of the Mondeo over two years ago and a set of new Mondeo photos too), Ford’s decision to shut up shop at Genk in Belgium – the Mondeo’s traditional manufacturing plant – meant there was no way to give Europe the new Mondeo. So we’ve had to wait for Ford to sort out production lines in Valencia to build the new Mondeo but now, according to Mark Ovenden – Ford’s UK boss – the new Mondeo will arrive in the third quarter of 2014 in the UK and Europe.
