Up for sale is a RARE NEW NOS OEM FORD BRONCO II SIDE MOLDING SET. I located this for my 1988 Ford Bronco II when I planned on doing a stock restoration on the vehicle, but changed my mind after finding out how rare this set was. It has basically just been sitting in my home to prevent rust or aging of any kind, and I consider it to be a rare piece of automotive history. The man I purchased this set from told me that it was in an old Ford dealership which had been abandoned until he purchased the building.
They attach to the vehicle with what appears to be a 3-M style double sided tape, and the tape is still very sticky. I did peel a corner back to make sure the adhesive was still good. They are stainless steel with the words "Bronco II" etched into the surface in an Italic style bold font. On each part, the stainless side is covered with the off-white protective coating as you can see in the pictures. Each individual piece also has a small sticker which labels where it is intended to be placed, such as "Driv R Fend," which would be drivers side rear fender. This set has an instruction sheet enclosed from FORD, and it shows where the molding set attaches to the lower part of the vehicle body, with printed instructions. There is also an enclosed small pink paper which has a short statement of how to care for the stainless steel. The papers do not have a date or part number, but is a true NOS item.
THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY set of it's kind I have ever seen, and nobody I have talked to has seen another. This is an opportunity to own a rare piece of Ford history, as it is very unique. This auction does have a reserve price set, but If the bidding gets close it may go to the highest bidder.

Kia Sportage and Soul recall – affects 7000 UK cars
Fri, 09 May 20145,787 UK Kia Sportage models (pictured) are being recalled. Recalls are a fact of life for car makers, but at least the industry now tries to respond to problems as they arise, and before they cause damage to people of vehicles. This latest recall comes from Kia in the UK, which is recalling a total of 5,785 Sportage models and 1.432 Soul models to address a problem that ha been identified with the seat belt pre-tensioner mechanism.
Lamborghini 50th anniversary collection at Concorso Italiano 2013
Mon, 19 Aug 2013There was no way the Concorso Italiano team was going to let Lamborghini’s 50th birthday slip by unnoticed, which is why this year there was a big effort made to get as many examples of the marque there was possible. While there were few real rarities, models from the past 25 years were there in big numbers; once again, the rarities will be out in force at the Pebble Beach Concours on Sunday… If you wanted to check out a Lamborghini timeline, the one here was pretty good. But there was no LM-002 4x4, which was a shame.
Audi TT ultra quattro concept sheds 300kg & heads for Worthersee
Thu, 25 Apr 2013The TT ultra quattro concept manages to tip the scales at 1111kg, 299kg less than the starting point – the TT S quattro – thanks to a new version of the TT’s aluminium space frame, carbon fibre reinforced plastic panels, carbon fibre for many body panels and some judicious use of magnesium. Other weight saving tricks include carbon ceramic brakes with aluminium calipers, titanium exhaust, cameras instead of heavy door mirror mechanisms, and carbon fibre and aluminium wheels. The weight saving extends to the interior of the TT ultra quattro concept too, with carbon fibre used for the door and centre console trims and glass-fibre reinforced plastic base for the seats which saves 22kh alone. But despite the weight savings Audi hasn’t made the TT ultra quattro concept a hair shirt outing with goodies like leather seats, AirCon and electric windows still on offer.
