We recently purchased a large lot of vintage cloth patches from the 50's - 60's era and tonight we are putting up for auction A RARE AND ALL ORIGINAL 1950's S / P MECHANICS PATCH WORN BY COMPANY MECHANICS....
In 1953 THE STUDEBAKER CO. COMBINED WITH THE PACKARD CO. TO COMBINE INTO ONE COMPANY KNOWN AS S / P AND I ONLY HAVE 1 OF THESE PATCHES, SO DON'T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY.....
This patch is an oval shaped white patch sewn on heavy stiff cheesecloth that measures 4" Long X 2 3/4" Wide......The patch features red embroidery that spells out " S / P "....This patch has no glue, or border like those mass produced patches of today, and the patch shows a red thread outline where it was once sewn onto a uniform.......

Mon, 01 Jun 2009Volvo are working on a plug in Hybrid for 2012 offerng 50g/km Co2 emissions Laudable though this intent is, it’s a little like the Vauxhall / Opel Ampera – it relies on technology that doesn’t yet exist to deliver what it promises. But to get things moving, Volvo are going to be running a number of Volvo V70 diesel-electric Hybrids round Europe this year, to guage customer feedback and try to establish exactly what the consumer wants. They also want to establish exactly what the consumer can live with in terms of ‘Re-fuelling’.

Fri, 18 May 2012The Ruiqi G2 – an A-segment model from Chery's new sub-brand – will enter the Chinese market in July, competing with the BAIC E Series and Great Wall Tengyi C20. Designed by Pininfarina, the Ruiqi G2's most distinctive feature is a wave-shaped feature line that wraps up from the rocker, creates an exaggerated rear fender and wraps around the rear to for the rear bumper, the intention of which is to "convey a sense of agility and movement." Chrome highlights on the front grille and tailgate attempt to add a premium touch to the G2 as is the winged, Bentley-inspired badge. The interior architecture is entirely conventional with silver and black trim, while the integrated center panel features a hexagonal HVAC control unit.
