Peugeot is unveiling two show cars at next month's Geneva motor show based its new 208, alongside the reveal of the production range. The Peugeot 208 XY Concept suggests how a more premium 208 might look, while the GTi Concept needs no introduction. Both show cars suggest Peugeot is keen to continue its efforts to move upmarket.

Peugeot 208 R2 - a rally prepared 208 The new Peugeot 208 is about to hit showrooms so Peugeot are delivering a bit of sporty fairy dust with the rally prepared Peugeot 208 R2. As we say every time we run a story on the new Peugeot 208 – there’s a lot riding on it for Peugeot. The world has fallen out of love with mainstream cars and has become polarised, with ‘Premium’ and ‘Budget’ selling at the expense of a squeezed middle.

Nissan's Resonance concept has made its world debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The Resonance concept, created by Nissan Design America under the direction of senior vice president and chief creative officer Shiro Nakamura, features the ‘V-Motion', which starts from the tinted acrylic front grille with Satin Chrome accents and moves through the hood, framed by the boomerang-shaped headlamps. A sharp character line feeds from the headlamps above the pronounced wheelarches before dipping and then flicking upwards into the rear lamps.
