Up for bid is a (NOS) Never Installed Oldsmobile Chrome outside mirror. The mirror is GM Part #982528 Right hand or Passengers side complete with mounting screws and door rubber gasket, complete in the original GM box with mounting instructions on backside of box,very nice factory chrome plating, has a very small scratch in the mirror,( picture #8) may polish out, will leave new owner do what they want to (SEE PICTURES FOR BEST DESCRIPTION). My research shows this to fit 1948 series 60 & 70 models, 1948-1949 series 90 models and 1950 series 76-88- & 98 series models, 2 or 4 door, hardtop or convertibles and station wagons. When only factory GM Parts will do for fit and finish this is for you. Please do your homework to make sure this is correct for your application before bidding. Car-buying confidence hits new high
Mon, 07 Apr 2014THE NUMBER of people who believe they will buy a new car in the next three years has jumped to 71%, according to the latest AA Car Purchase Index; up from 55% last year. Of the 19,786 survey respondents who said they were going to buy a new car, 42% said they would choose a petrol engine, with 38% saying definitely diesel. A further 13% don’t know what fuel type they will opt for, but 7% will choose some kind of hybrid and 1% will go fully electric – a total of exactly 100 respondents.
AXE WOES
Mon, 04 Aug 2014AN ORDINARY car journey almost turned into a horror film on a highway north of the US city of Boston when an axe smashed through the windscreen of a car. Massachusetts State Police say the axe bounced out of a dump truck. A photo was released showing the axe with a corner of its blade stuck in the passenger side of the car's dashboard.
Rogue lorries threaten road workers
Fri, 05 Sep 2014FRIGHTENING footage of lorries ignoring warning signs and almost crashing into motorway maintenance workers has been released by the Highways Agency. One video clip shows a lorry avoiding one of the agency's traffic officer vehicles which was attending a breakdown on the M6 near Birmingham. The truck also just avoids the traffic officers and the passengers in the broken down car.
