Incredibly rare, COMPLETE drivetrain from a 1955 Thunderbird, supercharged at the factory, the only thing missing are the hoses that you can get repro.  The tbird was in a garage fire MANY MANY years ago, car destroyed, but the drivetrain was UNTOUCHED. It was pulled out in a complete assembly as you see here. been in a barn until now.  I know they were never FACTORY sold until 57, but this was installed at the factory in 55, the ONE and ONLY pic or article I can find is on google search, and the last pic I posted, and the article says this:

1955 Thunderbird VS57 Installation

This was actually Jayne Mansfield’s Thunderbird, so celebrity status at last for the McCulloch. I’m sure the power produced would have been more than adequate for the load that was being carried. Note the long cylindrical air cleaner that was used on the Thunderbird installations, mainly due to the lack of space and low clearance under the hood. It’s also interesting to note that the ducting for the air cleaner collected cool air from the front of car, which results in a more dense air charge being blown into the carburetor.

This is the EXACT setup that I have here.   The air cleaner actually attaches to the back left and right valve cover studs, as apposed to mounting on the firewall on ADD ON systems after the fact., AND in the center of the air cleaner tube, it has a hose that goes from there to the crankcase top plate, other add on ones do not have this.  and it has a heat sheild over the L.H.  exhaust manifold for the hose, and has the orig boost guage on it. the dome for the carb is perfect, all original from the carb to ex manifolds. I even have the factory hose adapter that mounts to the front by the radiator for the intake hose to mount to.  I was going to rebuild this complete assembly and put it in my 1956 F100, but after a LOT of research finding out how incredibly rare this is, I would rather see it go back in a tbird.  what a PHENOMENAL car that would be.

I will not SHIP this assembly,  it will need to be picked up locally, OR you will need to arrange for it to be picked up by a freight company. I do NOT have a truck or any way to transport it to the freight company either, so it would have to be picked up at my residence. I can put it on a pallett,  or I have a cherry picker to help load it on a truck, or whatever.

PLEASE ask ANY and ALLLL questions BEFORE you bid on this,  I can take whatever pictures you want to see,  this is sold AS IS, it is NOT running, will have to be rebuilt, as you can tell, just needs to be STATED as you well know,  no returns, I am selling this because it needs to go to a good home, a TBIRD home.   I have %100 POSITIVE feedback, and I DO want to keep it that way, so, PLEASE, I cant stress this enough,  ASK ANYTHING BEFORE YOU BID !

The trio of Dunlop-shod Citroen C1s We already know what a lot of fun the Toyota Aygo/Peugeot 107/Citroen C1 are. We reviewed the 107 recently and had a blast. It really is as manouverable and chuckable as it looks when Top Gear use it to play football.

70ft tall car juggling robot planned

Wed, 02 Jul 2014

BugJuggler When it comes to things we would like to see in our lifetime, a 70ft-tall robot juggling cars is most definitely one of them. So let’s all give this crazy group of ex-NASA and James Bond stunt engineers a big round of applause, because that’s exactly what they are trying to achieve. The robot is called the BugJuggler, and as yet it’s just a figment of some very over-active imaginations.
