Not made by Edelbrock in years, this C-355 Small Block Chevy  3- Rochester 2-barrel intake manifold is specifically for the 265 cubic inch 55-56 engine (ports are closer together than on the later SBC's).  Was on a friends roadster for years, but he decided to upgrade to  a 383 stroker and had to go to the Edelbrock 5419 3-deuce intake although he transferred his carbs and linkage to the new set-up----thus making this intake an orphan.   Some pitting in the water passages, but a light smear of RTV on the gaskets and it never leaked in all the years it was on the roadster (the light smear of RTV also makes the removal of the gasket very easy since it usually comes off in one piece---no messy scraping of sticking pieces of gasket).  All the threaded holes are good and the carb studs are still in place.  the studs for the thermostat housing have been changed to a larger size and for some reason there is a bold on the bottom of the stud on the right side...it can probably be removed or just left there since it had no adverse effect on cooling over the many years he drove the car.  Has not been milled or ported.

House narrowly passes scaled-back 'cash-for-clunkers' bill

Wed, 17 Jun 2009

The U.S. House on Tuesday narrowly passed a scaled-back version of a bill that would give consumers cash vouchers of between $3,500 and $4,500 if they trade in their cars for newer, more fuel-efficient vehicles. The $1 billion cash-for-guzzlers proposal, modeled after successful programs in Germany and other European countries, is part of a $106 billion supplemental spending measure designed mostly to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Grand National Roadster Show takes on new judging rules, rodding wins

Mon, 31 Jan 2011

Daryl Wolfswinkel's 1934 Ford, built by Doug Jerger of Squeeg's Kustoms in Chandler, Ariz., won the title America's Most Beautiful Roadster on Sunday at the Grand National Roadster Show at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. That in itself was not necessarily the biggest news out of Pomona last weekend, however. In a hobby/passion/love affair such as hot-rodding, you'd expect a '32, '33 or '34 Ford to win.

Zagato TZ3 Stradale: Alfa curves meet America muscle

Thu, 28 Apr 2011

The beautiful Alfa Zagato TZ3 Stradale There’s been a lot going on to celebrate the centenary of Alfa Romeo, not least the cars created to pay tribute to a marque that still oozes petrol from every pore. January 2011 saw the Alfa Romeo Pininfarina Concept at Geneva Motor Show, April saw the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa début at Villa D’Este and Christmas had us expecting a Zagato TZ4 Stradale after Zagato’s Christmas card seemed to show what we thought could be an Alfa Romeo Zagato TZ4 all wrapped up in a bow. Now, four months on, Zagato has taken the bow of the Christmas present and presented us with the Zagato TZ3 Stradale, beautiful Alfa curves and based on a … Viper.
