This is a rare. vintage Operator's Manual for 1946 Ford Passenger Cars, Models 69A and 6GA. It is 8 7/8" x 5 7/8", 41 pages, dated April 1, 1946. It contains information, photos, diagrams & charts, in three sections covering: Sec. I - Controls and Operation Pgs. 4-13 Sec. II - Maintenance, Tires, and Trouble Shooting Pgs. 14-35 Sec. III - Specifications Pgs. 36-41 This manual is in good condition for its age, but does have some wear and condition issues: small tears on front & back cover, and a few pages; smudges and notations by previous owners on front & back cover, and 1st page; some light water stains & dog-earing of some pages; and center page is loose from binding, but all other pages are attached. Dream – Cars of the Future Since 1950
Fri, 28 Nov 2008The city of Turin has been celebrating as World Design Capital 2008 this year with a series of over 200 separate events and exhibitions. One of the highlights has been a series of three themed shows running throughout the year, entitled '20th Century', 'Speed' and 'Dream'; the final exhibition of this trilogy. Housed at the Giovanni Agnelli Espositione - the wonderful Nervi-designed hall on Corso Massimo D'Azeglio that used to host the Salone di Torino in the 1950s - 'Dream' is a fabulous exhibition but, regrettably, one that hasn't been well publicized outside of Turin city.
Iconic James Bond Helicopter To Headline Goodwood Aviation Festival
Fri, 22 Aug 2014THE helicopter made famous in the 1964 James Bond Film ‘Goldfinger' will take centre stage at the Freddie March Spirit of Aviation exhibition at the Goodwood Revival on September 12. Officially known as the Hiller UH-12E4, this is the very aircraft in which Galore, played by actress Honor Blackman, flew Goldfinger's atomic bomb to Fort Knox for the film's finale. It was also used by Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in Oscar-winning film, ‘The VIPs', the previous year.
Reworked Mercedes G-wagen to get wider, more efficient
