Up for bids is the vintage Johnson Outboards Sportsman's Buoyant Vest you see in the pictures. It is used but in beautiful condition. It has four large pockets on the front with Velcro tab closures. It is missing one of the shoulder laces you can see in the picture otherwise it very clean and very usable. The true color is more of the dark green you see in the label picture. The McLaren 650S Configurator The new McLaren 650S arrived at the Geneva Motor Show last week – and as the 650S Spider too – and looks, and performs, far better than the 12C. That seems to point to the McLaren 12C being allowed to whither on the vine as McLaren’s customers opt for the new 650S instead of the 12C – even with a price difference heading towards £20k – although officially you can still buy a 12C (although we hear 12C production has been halted). We hear McLaren have already built a number of 650S models and now they’ve even got the 650S Configurator up on their website so customers – and dreamers – can spec up their new 650S.

Ferrari F70 Tub & FF Roof: Paris 2012

With no new cars at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the Ferrari highlights are the carbon fibre tub for the F70 & panoramic roof for the Ferrari FF. As you would expect, the underpinnings for the new F70 aren’t going to be made from recycled RSJs, but will be crafted from state of the art carbon fibre. Ferrari are proclaiming the tub and chassis of the F70 is directly derived – and developed in conjunction with – Ferrari Scuderia F1 nous and expertise.

Chevrolet Spark EV revealed

The Chevrolet Spark EV – an electric version of the Spark – has been revealed ahead of the Los Angles Auto Show this week with a 130hp electric motor. Key to the appeal of the new Chevy Spark EV is the sort of power and performance you’d normally only see in a little hot hatch. The Spark EV comes with an electric motor that churns out 130hp and a massive 400lb/ft of torque.
