Fri, 13 Dec 2013By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 13 December 2013 17:56 In an own goal for taste, Chelsea FC manager Jose ‘Special One’ Mourinho has joined a joint project with tuning firm Mansory and self-styled high society club Raff House to create a new supercar. The finished car, of which just eleven will be made (accept no substitutes) is designed to ‘unite the best of Ferrari and Aston Martin’, according to the promotional literature. A single teaser image has been revealed, showing a carbonfibre-bodied coupe with vertical exhaust outlets and faintly McLaren 12C-esque rear lights.

The very last Mercedes McLaren SLR – The McLaren SLR Stirling Moss – has now rolled out of production at McLaren in Woking and both Mercedes and McLaren are going their seperate ways. McLaren is working to bring the new McLaren MP4-12C to market by 2011 as a replacement for the SLR, and Mercedes has already launched their replacement – the Mercedes SLS AMG Gulllwing – although it will be a few more months before cars hit the road.

If BMW are going to go further downmarket in their quest for more sales – which we know they are with their plans for front wheel drive BMWs – then short of a sub-brand marque (entirely possible some will wear the Isetta or i-setta badge) then the only number we have to play with is a big, fat 0. It seems daft to give a BMW a leading 0 and its own series, but it certainly looks to be under consideration.
