Wed, 15 Apr 2009Range -topping Vauxhall Insignia VXR to launch at Barcelona in May Latest to the market is this range-topping Insignia – the Vauxhall Insignia VXR (Opel Insignia OPC in Europe) – a 325bhp rocket version of the successful Insignia. With a new adaptive four wheel drive system and electronic limited slip diff, the Insignia VXR has bags of grip and great roadholding. It sits 10mm lower than the Insignia SRi, and the HiPerStrut front suspension keeps torque-steer in check.

For them, Nissan has announced the addition of the FE+ 2.0 SR to the Sentra lineup. Previously, the only way to get a more aggressive looking Sentra from the factory was springing for SE-R models.
Concept Car of the Week: Alfa Romeo BAT 7
Fri, 31 Aug 2012This week sees the Concept of the Week title go to Alfa Romeo and Bertone for their collaboration on the Alfa Romeo BAT 7, the second addition to the BAT series that began in 1953 and finished in 1955. First seen at the 1954 Turin motor show, this wildly futuristic ‘dream' car came about after Alfa Romeo contacted Giuseppe "Nuccio" Bertone of the Bertone carrozeria to commission three concepts with the lowest possible drag coefficient. The cars were named BAT for "Berlinetta Aerodinamica Tecnica." Built upon the Alfa Romeo 1900 chassis, the BAT cars featured large rear bumpers and curved fins, and the concepts achieved a drag coefficient of just 0.19 - an impressive result.
