The new Mercedes AMG GT gets teased on video. Mercedes effective replacement for the SLS – the Mercedes AMG GT – is due to be revealed at the Paris Motor Show later this year, but Mercedes has already started the slow reveal of the AMG GT with photos of the interior last month. Pitched a bit further down the supercar ladder than the SLS, the AMG Gt is aiming to take on cars like the Porsche 911 and deliver a car that Mercedes hope will be the benchmark in its class.

Ford reveals ultra-eco Focus EcoBoost

Ford has revealed Europe’s first petrol-powered five-door family car to dip beneath the 100g/km CO2 mark with the launch of a 99g/km CO2 Focus EcoBoost. The new 100hp 1.0-litre variant will launch next year and, at 67.5mpg, become its most fuel-efficient petrol-engined family car ever. GM delays second shift at Volt plant

General Motors is delaying the addition of a second shift at its Michigan assembly plant that makes the Chevrolet Volt. In May, GM said that it would add a second shift at its Detroit-Hamtramck plant by late this fall to double Volt production. Instead, a plant overhaul completed this summer, along with a more-modest addition of workers, will allow GM to double production starting early next year while remaining on one shift, the company said Friday.
