Audi TT Sportback concept – it’s a 5-door TT Audi has long been the master of the niche, so it’s no real surprise they’re looking for ways to ‘extend’ the Audi TT in to a series of new niche models. The latest take is this, the Audi TT Sportback concept, which has arrived at the Paris Motor Show as a big brother to the TT Coupe, with an extra pair of doors and an extra 290mm in length. Audi has also played with the look of the TT Sportback, with a new hexagonal grill, new headlights and a new bumper up front and the new tail lights and smaller back window give the TT Sportback an individual look (well, as individual as an Audi ever gets).

Peterbilt and Local Motors launch online competition

Peterbilt Motors has teamed up with Local Motors to launch a new online competition, the Peterbilt Road Icon Generation 2 challenge. The challenge is to design the next generation Peterbilt Icon, using existing elements of the cab to create a more aerodynamic, modern and stylish product. Designers will have the support and feedback of Peterbilt designers and engineers throughout the submission stage.

MG's new Chinese owners showed a Nissan Juke-alike concept car called the Icon at the 2012 Beijing motor show. Its footprint is identical to that of the original MG BT. Although a pure concept car, a spokesman confirmed that the study was a guide to what we could expect from future models from MG.
