But now they’re going a step further with a customisation programme called ‘MINI Yours’, and an off-the-peg version called the MINI Avenue. MINI Yours is all about offering the sort of customisation offered for the original Mini in the 1960s by companies like Radford - and about making good margins on the add-ons – with a huge range of customisation stuff above and beyond what appears in the MINI Limited Editions.

Mon, 06 Dec 2010McLaren SLR Edition A year ago – almost to the day – we reported that the very last McLaren SLR had rolled off the production line (well, production floor is more like it at McLaren) and that McLaren and Mercedes were going their own ways – McLaren with the McLaren MP4-12C and Mercedes with the Mercedes SLS AMG. The swansong for the SLR was the SLR Stirling Moss, an SLR dressed up like a silver arrow car from the 1930s, without a roof and only a vestigial windscreen. Or at least we we believed the Stirling Moss was the last SLR.
Chrysler, Nissan, GM set pace as industry's September volume advances 10 percent
Mon, 03 Oct 2011UPDATED--U.S. auto sales--helped by big gains at Chrysler, Nissan and General Motors--overcame widespread economic jitters to rise 10 percent in September, raising hopes the industry's recovery will accelerate in coming months. It was the biggest increase in light vehicle sales since April, when surging gas prices and Japan's earthquake started to put a dent in demand.
