Fri, 28 Mar 2014Lord Brett Sinclair’s Aston Martin DBS V8 from The Persuaders For those of a certain age, the 1970s TV show The Persuaders evokes fond memories of Roger Moore as Brett Sinclair and Tony Curtis as Danny Wilde fighting crime on the French Riviera and driving an Aston Martin DBS and Ferrari Dino respectively. Now, more than 40 years since The Persuaders was aired, the Aston Martin DBS used by Brett Sinclair is to be offered for sale publicly for the first time at Bonhams Aston Martin works sale in May. With The Persuaders the most glamorous and expensive of Lew Grade’s TV adventures, the Aston Martin DBS was the perfect fit for Lord Brett Sinclair’s character (although the Tony Curtis/Danny Wilde Dino wasn’t exactly top-drawer Ferrari) and Aston Martin worked with ITC to make everything work for the show.
Chrysler loses 'Imported from Detroit' lawsuit
Wed, 29 Jun 2011A federal judge today denied a motion by Chrysler Group LLC to bar use of its "Imported from Detroit" commercial tag line by clothier Pure Detroit, which in turn has formally opposed Chrysler's bid to trademark the phrase. U.S. District Judge Arthur Tarnow ruled that Chrysler's request didn't show that it would suffer irreparable harm or that it had a strong likelihood of winning its case.
Tesla Model X Crossover reveal and Roadster dropped by year end
Sun, 29 May 2011Tesla Roadster Production ends in December We revealed back in November that Tesla intends using the Model S platform to produce a Crossover come SUV to appeal to a more mainstream market than their current ‘Lotus with batteries’ Tesla Roadster. Having officially sown that seed, Tesla has now revealed that the Tesla Model X will be revealed – in prototype form, of course – by the end of 2011. At pretty much the same time as production of the Tesla Roadster comes to an end.
