The 2014 European Car of the Year, powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol Puretech engine, covered 1,124.7 miles on just one tank of fuel when tested on a track in Spain. An event to mark the 25th anniversary of the MX-5 will be held in Barcelona, Spain on 3-4 September - and the new MX-5 will be shown to the world for the first time. The new MX-5 is a major launch for Mazda; the car has been a runaway hit since launch in 1989 and now mops up a large portion of two-seat roadster sales.
VW Phaeton returning to America as early as 2018

The tech-laden luxobarge is still offered overseas, and it has seen a number of revisions and updates since it was last offered here. Of course, much more has changed since 2006 than the Phaeton's front fascia.
