This is a complete and functional setup I used on my sailboat and then removed before selling the boat. It is easy to install and operate. The compass and all electronics are contained inside the head unit, so there are no peripherals to install or program.
The control unit is set inside a plastic box to shield it from weather. It pops right out if you don't want to use it though. The motor runs quiet and smooth. The steering ring has no defects and comes with the necessary 5 mount bolts. 1 is missing a nut. The motor engaging clutch gear/lever has no cracks or problems (common since they are plastic) Included is the silver aluminum 90 degree mount bracket I used for pedestal mounting and two never used spare belts. The original raymarine ends are on the 2 wire motor power cable. The cable is cut approximately 24" below the head unit (splice tucks inside a pedestal) to avoid drilling 1" holes to route the large ends. I am selling no reserve and free shipping to the US, so the highest bidder at the end of the auction will have an autopilot. I will only ship to a US address. Gibbs begins production of Quadski amphibious ATV
Tue, 13 Nov 2012During our test of the Gibbs Quadski, a high-speed amphibious ATV manufactured by Gibbs Sports Amphibians Inc., representatives stated that the first production vehicles would be ready for sale by mid-November. The company seems to have made good on that promise. According to a statement, the first production Quadskis were completed earlier today at an Auburn Hills, Mich., factory.
