The Porsche 911 Carrera - less polluting than the What Car Green Car Award Winners Earlier today we did a round-up of this year’s What Car Green Car Award winners. Which many find of interest as they believe the right thing to do is buy a car with low CO2 emissions. Regular readers will know that we are not impressed with the obsession with CO2 and want Governments to stop taxing motorists based on the nonsense that CO2 is harmful, and instead base taxation and future objectives for the car industry on what really matters – emissions from cars that are detrimental to health.

It’s the production version of the BWW Concept Active Tourer we first saw back in 2011, and the undisguised version of the car we scooped earlier in 2013. The name will be 'Active Tourer'-suffixed, not '2-series GT' as previously thought. The purists might shout loudly, but money talks, and there’s huge demand for a BMW-badged family car at more mainstream prices.

Historic Brough Superior hits the auction block

Motorcycle pioneer and racer George Brough's 1925 prototype Brough Superior SS 100 Alpine Grand Sport has a shot at breaking the world record for motorcycles at auction on Dec. 15. The iconic piece from the Michael FitzSimons collection could fetch $600,000 to $700,000 at the New York auction house Phillips de Pury & Co.
