Miami Beach, Florida, United States
Condition:Used

Used RAYMARINE Smart Pilot S1000 autopilot with a ST6001 control head.  This pilot was in working condition when removed.  I purchased the new approximately 4 years ago.  The unit originally came with a S100 remote control which are available on Ebay.  This does not come with a S100 remote.  I had the S1000 hard wired to the ST6001 control head via a sea talk cable.  I purchased the ST6001 separately used on Ebay.  The S1000 and pump were mounted in a dry location and show minimal corrosion or wear.
Included are RAYMARINE S1000 autopilot, ST6001 control head and cover, Sea Talk cable, power cable, data cable, Raymarine "Protor" hydraulic pump set with mounts and cable, installation guide.

E85 makes inroads on cost and availability

Wed, 23 Dec 2009

Three years ago, we embarked on a Midwest road trip in search of what was then the Holy Grail of fuel: E85. Our findings weren't too positive--there were far more E85-compatible vehicles on the road in 2006 (5 million) than there were E85 pumps to fuel them (about 700 out of some 200,000 fuel stations nationwide). In addition, those burning the mix of 15 percent gasoline and 85 percent ethanol were paying a pretty penny for their earth-friendly ways, losing about 15 percent in fuel economy while often paying the same price as regular unleaded.

David Brown Automotive Speedback UK debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed (video)

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

The David Brown Automotive Speedback (above) gets its UK debut at the Goodwood FoS The reveal of the David Brown Automotive Speedback was a pleasant surprise. We’d expected the Speedback to be yet another take on the E-Type – based as it is on the underpinnings of the still very able Jaguar XKR – but instead it was a proper classic GT car that looks much like a classic Aston Martin from the 1960s – think DB5/DB6. Glorious though a DB5 or DB6 is to own, a lot of the time they’re more a work of art to covet than a car you can drive every day.
