Rays Engineering, the maker of Volk Racing Wheels, has released their new DURA-NUT, these racing quality lug nuts are extended extra long for quick and easy installation and removal. Made from Duraluminum, these lug nut are extremely strong and light (the Rays lug nuts are 0.8 oz. each compared to 2.1 oz. for the stock pieces). In addition to the performance aspects, the Rays lug nuts also feature one 7-sided nut per wheel. These heptagonal nuts look stock from a distance, but can only be removed with the specially designed socket that comes with the set. Available in anodized red, blue, or black. It's a great way to protect your wheels! Sets are sold in packs of 20 pcs only.

Power comes from a 2.0 litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine, offering 265bhp. But there is no four-wheel drive on this Scirocco, instead VW has opted to offer the car as a front-wheel drive only, but benefiting from XDS (an electronic cross-axle traction control system).

The Land Rover Freelander 2 in the JLR assembly plant in Pune, India We reported last year that Land Rover were going to start building Freelanders in India this year. Well, bolting them together from CKD (Complete Knock Down) imported from Halewood, anyway. And, bang on target, Land Rover has had a bit of an event at Pune to celebrate the opening of their new assembly plant.

Since then – and the report then was just  a whisper from a couple of sources – we’ve heard nothing more concrete. But now Automotive News seems to have caught up with our story and are quoting the Lexus LFA Roadster as in the planning at Lexus for 2014.
