They are moving very rapidly up the ladder and if European car makers, never mind the Americans, aren’t careful there’s going to be another sea-change to rival the one that Japan made a few decades ago. Bentley Mulsanne launches at Frankfurt
Tue, 15 Sep 2009Bentley has unveiled the New Bentley Mulsanne at Frankfurt The 2010 Bentley Mulsanne delivers 505bhp from its all new 6.75 litre V8. But more importantly it delivers 752lb/ft of torque – enough to shift the Albert Hall in to warp drive. And thanks to variable valve timing and re-worked internals including a forged crankshaft, that torque is available throughout the range.
Fisker Karma recalled over fire risk
Sun, 19 Aug 2012The Fisker Karma range-extender EV is being recalled over a fire risk from a faulty cooling fan. We’re not sure how many Fisker Karmas there are in the UK (well, there should be at least one), but so far it appears that there are a surprising 1,900 in the wild. Now those 1,900 (or 2,400 if you count all the Karamas built and heading for customers) are to be recalled after fire destroyed two Karmas in the US.
