AC Mk VI: AC Cars return to the UK

AC, a UK manufacturer that's 110-years-young in 2011 but with more regenerations than a Doctor Who convention, is establishing a new base at Brooklands.

The video might be called ‘BMW M is preparing something new’, but the engine isn’t really a fresh design. It’s actually a tweaked, twin-turbo version of the 435i’s 3.0-litre straight-six, making this the first M Division 3-series derivative to use forced induction.

That photo showed a birds-eye view of the new F-Type Coupe – complete with panoramic glass roof – but this time Jaguar has revealed what could be the money shot – the view from the rear three quarters looking along the side of the new F-Type and highlighting its curves. It’s a view that is reminiscent of the same angle on the E-Type – no bad thing – even if we don’t expect the F-Type Coupe to keep the E-Type’s side-hinged rear hatch we saw on the C-X16 Concept.
