This mirror, manufactured by Yankee Metal Company for International Harvester, is in good condition.  The rotational ball and socket on the back of the mirror works well.  The chrome is in great condition with minimal pitting, and the mirror's 5" diameter reflective glass is in nice condition.

This mirror does not include the mounting base.  The screw and spring connector is included with the mirror.  The mirror is marked on the mount with the Yankee Metal Patent number 175901, which was granted in 1955.  See photos for condition and visual description.

The first BMW i8s delivered in Germany The new BMW i8 hybrid supercar was finally revealed in production guise at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and by the time it went in to production the whole of the 2014 run of i8s was sold out. Apart from its innovative plug-in hybrid powertrain, the i8 offers many new technologies, one of which is a set of laser lights which deliver a much brighter main beam than LED and looked set to be the first time such lights have appeared on a production car. But Audi tried to upset BMW’s applecart by revealing the R8 LMX last month, which also came with laser lights, and looked set to arrive with customers before the i8.

July 10: How many miles to a bar?

Drove to Arcadia and back, six miles each way. I kept watching the fuel gauge to see when it would pop over and I would lose a bar. It finally did after about 14 kms, or 8 and a half miles.
