With a front end that pays homage to the Mazda Shinari Concept (the concept that points the way to the Mazda RX-9) and a back end that seems to find inspiration in the Hyundai ix35, the Minagi is Mazda’s answer to the compact SUVs from Ford, Hyundai, Audi and VW.
Architects design extravagant portable EVs solar-charging pavilion
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Architects Synthetic Design + Architecture has designed a portable, solar-charging pavilion for electric vehicles using integrated photovoltaic cells. A beautiful, flowing form made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) mesh fabric incorporating the photovoltaic panels, allowing the pavilion to act as a charger. Designed to combine structure, form and performance, carbon rods are twisted into curves by the digitally-designed mesh contours.
